Tim Kurtz, our summer intern, is staying with us in our apartment, on our couch. Elijah and Josiah have really taken to Tim. Noah has too, but he isn't mobile.
You want to know what Tim's first week was like?
There is an awesome video in the works for our June 13 Celebration. It is going to be funny, have a great point and get several people involved.
You can be a part of it.
More details to come, but we will tape sometime this week. Let us know if you want to be a part. Comment, e-mail, reply on Facebook.

I use a picture of a plant with the concept of gifts for a reason.
Our gifts grow.
Jesus tells us a parable of some guys who received a lot of money. Two of the guys double their money. One guy hides it in the dirt. The two guys that grew the money received praise from their master. The one guy who didn't received a scathing reprimand.
We have the gift that God has given to us because he wants us to use it and grow it. He wants us to "risk" our gift. Using it in such a way that seems foolish.
I got the chance to teach today to a couple of people a little bit about God's plan for marriage. I put it out there. It would have been easier to not say anything (and a lot of times I do do nothing...unfortunately).
To grow our gift, we have to nurture it and use it.
How did you use your gift today?
Everyone has their "it." That sweet spot that when you do it, you know it.
We want everyone to find their "it" so that they can serve people with their gifts, talents and passions. As people who bridge others to God, we really want to use those to bring fame to God.
Starting this Thursday, for two weeks, we will be focusing on these gifts...your sweet spot. Both days will be at
THIS LOCATION.
Look forward to seeing you!

One of the most important things to us is to serve people. Serve people all around the world.
Our partner church is taking a team to the Dominican Republic this summer and we can help them serve children and families who live on a few dollars a day. At our next Celebration service on June 13, we will be collecting a box full of stuff to send over with the team in army sized duffel bags. We look forward to making some children's days!
The list is above. Comment if you have any questions.
Some of you may be waiting on word of our Celebration video coming online.
Because of my lack of skills, I not only didn't get May 16 Celebration online, but I somehow erased April's Celebration...so you can't see any Celebration Service online.
Oops!
We're working to solve the issue. Hopefully soon my mistake will be reversed.
Thanks for your patience.

I wonder if this is how people look at church. Going to church is like walking down the hallway to the principal. Long, big, daunting, with judgment at the end.
How can a church fight against this view?

I received word today of something that excites me greatly.
Some of our team invited someone to The Bridge this past Sunday. Since then our team has remained in conversation and this person has become excited about coming back in fellowship with God and the church.
This is exceptionally exciting because I had little to do with it personally. This is what it is all about. They took responsibility for him and have seen the buddings of fruit from it.
Great job and praise God!
