Don't Magnify Success
God magnified Mary in her lowly situation. Don't magnify any success and change your situation to one of pride.
What does Mary magnify in her difficulty?
The greatness and mercy and power of God.
And his desire to elevate the lowly.
God could have brought his Son anyway he wanted to whomever he wanted.
Everyone else expected God to bring him to the palace, among royalty.
Instead, the tapped on the shoulder of someone who was no one until God made her someone.
God did not tap on your shoulder because you were someone…even if you are someone now.
Ironically, we start humble and lowly. God allows success and we let the thought creep in, “I’m quite good at this.”
And yet, God looks at the humble situation of his servant.
Even in success, don’t magnify the success. Certainly don’t magnify yourself. And don’t magnify the success in a humble brag praise.
Magnify the One who looked on your humble situation.
How can you have success from God and remain humble so God continues to look on you?
