Outward Facing and Inward Facing
Jesus had a rhythm to ministry. Audit your rhythms so that you can adopt the same ministry rhythms Jesus had.
Jesus had a rhythm to ministry…
Outward facing.
Inward facing.
His outward facing ministry was all about including anyone and everyone. No one was excluded. Everyone could come close. Everyone deserved to hear from the God who created them.
His inward facing ministry was training his disciples. Diving deeper into the parables he taught so they would know God’s Kingdom better. Making them into fishers of men for the Kingdom. How to Hear & Follow him, lead his people and advance his Kingdom.
So often, our public facing ministry is still inward.
Design your ministry with these same rhythms. Which means you must audit your current rhythms.
What is your outward facing ministry?
Is it truly outward facing?
Or are you convincing yourself it is outward facing when it’s really inward facing?
Do those far from God feel comfortable in your presence?
Do they experience a God who is close to them and has always wanted to be close to them?
What is your inward facing ministry?
Is it making disciples or just teaching them how to be better at inward facing?
How do you train people to Hear & Follow Jesus?
How do you train your leaders to lead God’s people?
How do you train your people to advance his Kingdom?
