Tear Through the Roof Faith
Faith is seeing what only God can see and then acting on it. No matter what is in your way.
And when Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
Luke 5:20
Faith is seeing what only God can see and then acting on it.
No matter what’s in your way.
A crowd.
Or a roof.
I’d have to think a sly little smile came across Jesus’ face when he started to feel the ceiling crumbling on his head.
These men had a friend who needed Jesus. They thought the need was only a healing of body.
But Jesus had in mind the man’s healing of his soul. And the impact of the message he will tell people through the forgiveness of the man’s sins.
Their “tear through the roof” faith is what initiated the healings.
Church leader, do you have a “tear through the roof” faith?
God can see something for you and your church and your family that only he can see.
There will be obstacles in your way.
Will you do whatever it takes to step through the obstacles to see in real life what only God can see?
Ultimately the end goal of what only God can see is getting people who need to be healed to Jesus.
Our churches need leaders who will show them what it means to have faith in a God who can see things no one else sees. And what it means to go through obstacles, no matter the cost.
All for the sake of getting their friends to Jesus, no matter what.
