Through the Wilderness
There is a power of God which only comes from the wilderness. Because he does something inside of you only he can do.
And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
Luke 4:14-15
Through the wilderness…
Through the fasting…
Through the temptations…
God used Jesus’ weakness, suffering and difficulty to give him power through the Spirit.
Mighty works of God are forged in the fire.
Sin clogs the arteries of our spiritual heart. The more the arteries are clogged, the harder it is for the Spirit to get through.
Spiritual training in the wilderness unclogs the arteries of our heart. Burns off anything that does not belong and allows the Spirit to flow freely through our heart, soul, mind and strength.
Jesus didn’t need the cleansing because he had sin. He knew no sin. But yet, he needed the wilderness to show he is our high priest and was tempted in every way the same as we are.
He showed what is possible when you come out of the wilderness.
You are cleansed and healed.
You have a renewed purpose.
You have a renewed power built on the Spirit inside of you.
And you now have an authority others can sense, but cannot quite put their finger on.
