We Think We're Unstoppable
Success often leads to position and power. They are neutral, but they do bring out what is already inside us.
When we get into a position of power, we think we are unstoppable.
So in our success and our power and our position, we change our mindset about ourself.
We think we’re unstoppable.
Usually, thinking you’re unstoppable shows up in secrets. Secrets where you think, “I have ____ therefore I can ___.” You being to think you are entitled the sin because you have success.
The secrets start to leak. The power you think you have will start to seep out and impact others. They’ll start to see small things that are different. But because you are the one in power, they hide their concerns.
And someway, somehow, usually very public, God will bring down the mighty from their thrones.
Don’t do life this way.
Especially don’t do ministry this way.
Success often brings position and power. Success, position and power are not bad. They’re neutral. But they will bring out more of what is inside you.
If Jesus is inside you, you serve others with success, position and power.
If you are inside you, you serve yourself with success, position and power.
And then, add in difficulty, and you will really get to see what is truly inside you.
Faith intentionally gives up of yourself. You give up yourself so others will benefit from what you have. And ultimately what you have is Jesus.
