What Are You Waiting For?
What have you waited for that you think God will do? But you keep waiting...
What are you waiting for?
Elizabeth and Zechariah waited for a child. While all his other priest coworkers had kids. Probably a lot of them.
They could not.
Now it was too late.
Except it wasn’t.
What are you waiting for?
You’ve prayed. Prayed some more. Stopped praying. Took up praying again. And you are now still praying.
You think you heard from God. But now you think it’s too late.
You’ve worked. Worked. And worked some more. You’re working because you thought you heard from God, but what you expected to happen is not what has happened.
And now you think it is too late.
What are you waiting for?
I don’t know what will happen next. Maybe an angel. Maybe an answer. Maybe life gets worse. Maybe you get more confused.
You have a church who watches you. They want to know what it looks like in the waiting. Let them see the struggle, hope, difficulty, the cry “I believe…help me believe!”
