What is faith?
“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!””
Faith is see things the way only God sees them and then act on it.
God sees life completely differently than you see it. He is close. He wants you to see what he sees.
He wants you to see what only he sees for your life.
He wants you to see what only he sees for your family.
He wants you to see what only he sees for your leadership.
If you’re doing life like everyone else, you don’t have faith. If you don’t feel a little bit crazy, you don’t have faith. If you have everything figured out, you don’t have faith.
Faith will push you to the edge. Others will think you should do life differently. Even and especially those who are Christian because they show up at church.
God sees very differently than you do. So when you get a glimpse of only what he can see, you will start acting different. You will push to the edge of what you know and makes you comfortable.
Then God will light up another step. Somehow. Some way.
Here’s the deal. I can’t tell you how or when he will light up the step for you. Faith says you know God is close, you live a life of repentance, you want God’s Kingdom to come down…
So he will light up your path when he is ready to light it up.
